The IAPS Philippines was launched during the 2nd Davies Cup last May 16 & 17, 2009 at Katips Bar & Grillery in Quezon City, Philippines hosted by the Pro-Airsoft Club of the Philippines who initiated, promotes and supports IAPS in this country.
There were a total of 73 entries who joined in the Open and Standard Category under the Veterans, Amateurs, Ladies and Junior Divisions. They competed each other in three stages under IAPS Steel Plate Shooting Rules. The content of this video is called the Man versus Man Shoot-Off Match Challenge, it was the highlight of the event where the top eight of each division competed directly againts each other by simultaneously shooting at separate but equal targets in a process of elimination.
The IAPS Philippines is now under the final process and is preparing to officialy enter the IAPS under the proposed name: Philippine Airsoft Practical Shooting (PAPS), it will be composed of different associations, clubs and teams from all over the Philippines with about a hundred members.
